Chainstyle Giveaway

Because it's Tuesday.

Because I don't have any bead pics to share.

And because I don't really have anything else to say.

I'm giving away a copy of chain style: 50 Contemporary Jewelry Designs.
That'd be my lentil bead at 4 o'clock in that necklace on the cover :D

Enter to win by leaving a comment about your favorite holiday tradition (not restricted to just winter holidays, but any holiday of the year).  I'll pick a winner by noon on Friday with random.org.

Very generous of you !!!
I'd love to see a copy of this book !!

We started a new tradition this year, as we have a new house.
We haven't put up a Christmas tree in probably 5 years or more. Its just the two of us, and our previous home was so small, we really couldn't fit one in there.
Last year, we ended up with a tremendous amount of snow on the ground right before Christmas, which put a kink in all holiday plans. So, even though we were in the new place, we still weren't able to go get a tree, ornaments, etc.
This year is different - my fiancee went all out! Big tree, big ornaments.
So our new tradition will be to put up TWO trees to make up for all the years we missed out :)

This book looks great!!

My favorite tradition is all of the family gathering at my sister's house for Christmas breakfast and presents. It's a fairly new tradition (5-6 years) but unfortunately due to some family issues we won't be doing it any longer. Sorry for the downer, I'm pretty bummed about it actually. So will have to look forward to new wonderful traditions.

Congrats, Cover Girl!! That looks like just the inspiration I need. I've been hoarding chain with no good ideas for it.

Hmm, favorite holiday tradition. Had to be Mom hiding, hiding again, and re-hiding the Easter eggs for me to find, until they either completely melted (the chocolate ones) or became inedible.

I'd love that book. We get ornaments from our travels, and it is such fun to see them all again at xmas.

Awesome giveaway and fabulous that your bead is on the cover.

Mom and I still celebrate St. Nicholaus Tag - a German holiday - we have been celebrating it since we lived in Germany. There was about 10 years when we didn't celebrate the holiday, but when I moved back home mom and I picked it back up again.
St. Nicholaus Tag is on December 6h. The children put out their shoes the night before and in the morning they will either have candy or toys if they were good or switches if they were bad. My brother and I always received switches with candy and toys because we were good and bad all through the year. Now, mom and I give each other little gifts on the 6th as a preview to the 25th of December gifts. I love it because we still have a small part of Germany with us.

Congrats on the cover! I have been wanting this book for awhile...looks very cool! Mark and I started a few traditions for our first Xmas as a married couple last year. We plan to look for a special ornament each year, and this year we purchased a handpainted one in Mexico on our cruise. We also started the Christmas pickle tradition at his parents, where a pickle ornament is hidden on their tree, and the first person to find it gets a special present. Fun!

Thanks for the giveaway!

What a great give away. The book looks great as does your bead on the cover. My daughter, sister, niece and I go to see the Nutcracker and do lunch or dinner depending on which show we go to. It's just girl fun.

Midnight Mass at Christmas, even when it's crystal cold. Love that tradition!

Lovely! I've heard good things about this book. :)

Hmm. I love painting eggs with the family at Easter. For some reason that is just one of those big traditions in my family. :3

I was just fondling an eggie from you... did you notice? teehee!

I love trimming the tree with my family. We haul out all the special ornaments and each one tells a story. We listen to Christmas tunes and put a fire in the fireplace. Then when it is all done we play I spy stumping each other with different ornaments. Thanks for sharing Kelley!
Enjoy the day!

My favorite tradition growing up was breakfast on Christmas morning. My mom never cooked a big old giant breakfast, except on Christmas. So we always looked forward to eggs, sausage, pancakes or waffles after we opened presents!

We have 2 traditions at my house - we hold a big open house a couple of weeks before Christmas (and invite everyoen we know (100+). We make most of the food which includes dozens of Christmas cookies. My 9 year old helps me make the sugar cookies every year -this year he favoured yellow, orange and blue sprinkles. Very bright and festive.

What a fun giveaway. I would have to say that my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. It's a time to get together with family without all of the hustle and bustle and commercialism of Christmas :O) Not to mention....there's always great food and I LOVE to eat!!!

I would be delighted to have a copy - congrats on the cover :)

We are experimenting with creating a tradition of special table decorations and ornaments (by Grimm's Spiel und Holz Design) for the solstices and equinoxes.

Oh boy! I've been wanting that book!! My favorite tradition is having Christmas Eve dinner at my house, then going to church. My mom sings in the choir. It's always a beautiful service which keeps me thinking of the real reason for the season!

My favorite tradition growing up midnight mass with the family and then coming home and opening the gifts. Getting to bed exhausted hours later but unable to go to sleep. Thanks for the great giveaway. Merry Christmas!

I just read this book last week in jewelry class & it is great! I have 2 fave traditions, one is about 15 yrs old & the other is 2 yrs old. 1) we make choc chip cookies on Thanksgiving Eve because we have the oven on to make the corn bread for our dressing 2) after everyone left Christmas evening to go home 2 years ago, my niece asked me to stay 'one more night' after everyone leaves. Last year I did(@mom's) & we are already planning it this year too!

My favorite tradition is having Holy Supper with my family on Christmas Eve. We are Eastern Orthodox Christians and this tradition has been a part of my family as far back as I can remember.

Please include me in the raffle.

Thanks!

ooohhhh love that bead on the book!~!

OK so fav holiday tradition - new one I started when I moved to Memphis and spent my first Christmas here on my own - iced in by a major storm that ment NO ONE in the Mid-South was going anywhere. I had picked up some goodies and settled in w/ a fire in the fire place, the tree lights on, snacks and a glass of wine and my fav buddy (then a 12 1/2 year old Maine Coon - now 18 1/2) to watch "White Christmas" on TV. It was quiet (no traffic, no sound at all), peaceful and sooo relaxing to just enjoy. :o)

(AND THEN the electric kitty litter box ran! ;o) )

I Just HAD to Share This!
