Something to Ponder

What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others - Pericles

TGIF!

See Little Horse?

Sleeping soundly in these temps this morning?

That's because he was Weeping Pony last night.   All night long.  :(  We have had him for a month and a half and he is still not comfortable being inside the house at night.  Don't think he had ever been inside a house prior to coming home with us.  Such big changes to get used to.  If he wasn't a digger or thief, perhaps we could trust him to spend the night outside at night.  But not yet.

I'm told it takes rescue dogs a good 90 days to become fully comfortable and let their whole personality show.  So we're half way there.

And really?  No questions?  At all?

Does that mean I'm just such a fabulous blogger I answer all your questions in every post I write?

Or does it mean you don't give two flips about what I have to say and you just want to see pics of beads and Little Horse?

I'm trying to tell myself it's the former and not the latter.

I should be on the torch tomorrow morning for a few hours.  Hoping to have as productive of a time as I did last weekend.  Although I think 87 beads is probably a record I won't be exceeding any time soon.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Look at the smile on that sweet boy's face! And of course it's the former! I wouldn't even know where to begin with specific glass questions!! You play with fire and I am afraid of playing with fire and so I never learned how to speak "glass." My adjectives include smushed and swirlly! Although you've probably already blogged about it,because you ARE a fantastic blogger, how long does it take you to make a bead like that big swirlly one with all the colors. (The one you have been hoarding)And do you have a varigated glass stick or do you lay each color down individually? Can you completely control glass, or will there always be that element of suprise? Ok so maybe I had a few!!!

He is a cutie! We got a dachschund as a rescue and she took quite a while to get adjusted and start causing trouble lol. Andrea's mom just got a rescue too and he hasn't adjusted yet but she just got him recently. I can't think of any questions but love reading your entries and seeing the beautiful pics :)

Although it really is the former, pictures of Little Horse will get me here fastest and make me stay longer :) I bet once he settles in he'll want to be inside the house with you.

Tari, we have the same glass vocabulary. I also say swirly and smushed in describing appearance or techniques for making the beads :D I'll answer your questions in a blog post this coming week!

Thanks Jason. We have a lot of doxies who live on our street. I love those little wiener dogs! Rescuing dogs is awesome, but from past experiences of rescuing it is alot of work to undo the damage and teach them to trust. It was a good two years before our boxer Maggie stopped cringing when we reached to pet her.

Melissa, I think Dylan will be more inclined to spend time inside with me when the air conditioning gets turned on this summer. Right now, he is loving the cold temps outside. I'll see what I can do to get extra pics of him this weekend for a gratuitous Great Pyr post just for you. Complete with pics of all the loot he thieves to the backyard :)

I Just HAD to Share This!
