Today has been a loooooong day. I started working before 7:30am and just finished at 9:45pm tonight. I completely missed out on going to watch my honeys play tennis in his men's seniors' playoff match this evening. I was bummed to miss that. Oh well. Even though I am on call 24x7 with work, I am fortunate to not have too many nights in front of my computer.
But enough of that. On to what you really want to see. New eggs, right? :)
How do you like those gunmetal black beads above? I think they are so cool! I didn't even etch them. They came out with this neat-o satiny finish! And then that's a little rhubarb strawberry bead with the normal speckles to the right. Another new favorite of mine!
And here we have more swirly eggs. Because I'm really digging the swirls!
This is what I saw last night while I was in the backyard mowing the weeds. I had to run and get my camera so I wouldn't forget how happy this made me. I don't know if it was because the sun was going down, so the studio lights made it appear so warm and cozy. Or if it was because I knew once I was done cutting the grass in the front yard that I would be able to get back on the torch. Or maybe it's just that part of me that loves looking in windows from the outside. Or maybe it's just because I'm a dork. But it made me happy to look in through the window.
So I had to step in and take a closer look and then I was even happier.
Tomorrow afternoon I will be catching a flight to Minneapolis to pick up my kids. It will be very close to three weeks since I saw them last. I can't wait to grab them in my arms and snatch them up to squeeze them and smooch their cheeks and tug on their hair. I miss them so. very. much. Lord help me to not hurt my back when I attempt to lift them both up simultaneously!
And for your own amusement, please go read THIS. I laughed so hard I had tears STREAMING down my face! Streaming, I tell you.
Streaming.

Those little eggs are SO sweet. I need to get some but I've been told there's a waiting list (as well there should be!).
